"I have always loved exploring different facets of two-dimensional art, whether it's high realism graphite drawings, completely abstract acrylics, or mixed media. There's not one I prefer over another, because in the end, it's all about the feeling you get. I believe art is about gut instinct and reaction. It's where our mind takes us.

I love walking into a gallery and being transported into someone else's world, and perhaps finding a little bit of myself there. Or maybe, being carried somewhere I've never been before and having a whole new world opened up before me.

I can't say all my pieces have a "story" behind them. Truthfully I can be just as easily inspired by the perfect robin's egg blue of an old pick up truck, as I can the pattern of fallen leaves. Sometimes a painting comes about as a dance of color and texture that reveals itself to me as the work progresses, and at times it is totally mapped out from start to finish.

Every time I pick up a pencil or a brush, a new lesson is about to begin. It's never easy, but it's always a great puzzle just waiting to be put together. It's a lesson never completely learned, so I hope to be studying it for years to come.

Thank you for visiting my website, and I hope you enjoy your time here."
